The Foundation has been in existence for over seven years and through
your continued patronage, each year we are able to fulfill our mission of supplementing
and enriching the educational experience of the students in District 181.
Your donations have enabled the District 181 Foundation to fund the Middle Schools'
technology labs, film World War II veterans' stories to enable future generations of
students to hear them first hand; fund teacher/educator grants which facilitate the
introduction of enhanced educational experiences into the school environment; help fund
the teacher training portion of the SELAS program and most recently provided for a virtual
reference library that all the middle school students and family members have access to.
To expand the ways to give to the Foundation, we launched a District 181 Staff Appreciation
Gift Campaign. This provides families with a creative and meaningful way to publicly honor
and thank a special teacher, principal, administrator or staff member who has had a
positive influence on education within the district. By making this type of donation, a
family does much more than honor an individual they feel has made a difference. They make
a significant impact on the education experience of the students and faculty in all of the
district’s schools. These donations are used to fund our teacher grants or special
initiatives. When a donation is received, the Foundation will acknowledge the person
being honored with a certificate and letter, which will include any special message
the donor wishes to convey. The Superintendent will be copied on the letters to the
honorees and the honoree’s names will appear in a thank you ad at the end of the school
year.

downloadable donation forms. All contributions are tax-deductible by law under the
Foundation's 501(c)(3) status and corporate matching programs are greatly appreciated.
